My electric cooling fan keeps blowing relays. I've changed both the high and low speed fan control relays and the main relay several times. I have also changed the fan motor thinking it had a bad spot in it. I'm going to chase wires tomorrow. Can someone save me from this doom? I have a 96 escort 1.9L.

thanks KAL :x

You got the idea, you gotta chase the wires sounds like there's a short somewhere.

A little help in you chasing your wires, the wire for the starter solenoid passes through the cooling fan relay. You may have a bad connection in this circuit somewhere, up to even having a bad ignition switch. Just covering all the bases but the fuse in the cooling fan ciruit is the correct size for the ciruit right? It should blow the fuse before a relay.
