Just like everyone else here I´ve decided to lower my Scort! I´ve heard of many different combinations and mixed opinions about who´s springs to use. So to make it easier, I´ve compiled a list to get the suggestions of fellow Scorters to make my decision based on ride quality. Here goes....

Does anyone know which are progressives (like the Eibach Pro) and which are linear rate (like the Eibach race springs on the Ground-Control kit)?

Along with your reply to Type R, how about telling us all if you had any clearance problems with your tires when you lowered, and what size/brand of tires you´re runnin.

I have a 91 Escort GT and used the Intrax kit. It worked great , I just rolled the rear fenders in a little. I am running 205/45/R16 Toyo Prxes in the rear, and just installed 205/55/R16 Falken Azenis in the front (they are VERY close, but work). Good luck!!

i have busted springs on mine that drop the back like 1 1/2" to 2" and i tried rims on it and 17´s just barly fit. A really low profile 18 might. but the 17´s fit with no rubbing.

I have a set of H&R springs in my garage waiting to go on. they are progressive just like the eibachs. Cost is about the same. Previous owner was an autocrosser who liked the ride and race quality but eventually went to coil overs for racing.

The advantage with the GC kit is you can adjust hight and spring rates. This has abvious advantages for racing because you can tune your suspension more.

You will also want new struts. the Tokico zx2 S/R struts are the best around right now and go for $160 for all four.
