I have a Ford Escort wagon 1995 lx second generation that heats up abnormally fast. I just fixed the radiator that was leaking fluid which was a main issue, but it still heats up quickly not to menion that the heat gauge bar bounces...literally. I was thinking the thermostat was causing, but im not to sure anyone have any suggestions, also im looking for an a/c kit also. Thanks in advance

the radiator fan relays on the second gens tend to blow is the fan comin on at all?, theirs 1 relay in the fuse box, and 1 fuse ,under the hood and under the intake box theirs 2 i belive those are the ones that blow theirs a link in this forum to chang them to regular fuses 30 amp, my scort is doing the same thing

the fan does come on but only when the a/c is on which has me thinking theres a faulty connection or the fan its self is messing up. my scort has 145k miles on and the a/c blows hot air on the cold setting and even hotter air on the hot setting so thats always fun

hmm i would check the relays uner the intakr box

ill have to take a look at that, also it only heats up when i come to a complete stop, so as long as i continue to move it stays well under the middle mark.
