Hi I have a 1997 ford escort LX sport 2.0, and the heater vents are not working.
The heat/cold botton is working, the fan's velocity is working, the blower fan is working, but not the botton to choose the vent.
Any idea please!!!

vacuum leak

take the stereo out and check the vacuum connections on the back of the stereo.

So I need to take the stereo out and check the conection?
I touched the wires close to the blower fan, could be related? (I did this because a passenger kick the wires and the fan stoped, but after I reconect the wires, the vents stop working)

that should be unrelated.

yes take the stereo out and check the vacuum connection. you can even go so far as to start the car and check for vacuum on one of the hoses (black or red, I forget which)
