Has anyone used anyother vehicle headlights on their cars besides the BMW headlights. If so, anyone got some pictures to see what they look like. I was looking at some denali or yukon headlights maybe, they look cool, but no clue if they would fit at all.

I saw a while back someone put an eclipse body kit on their car, because the headlights are similar. So a friend and I picked up a pair of second gen eclipse headlights... I don't have them at my house right now, but anyways, we were gonna see if we could mod them to fit, and then if so get some projectors because they're more common. This is for a third gen, though. It'll have to wait for my car to get fixed, though. Front end's screwed right now.

well I hope that you can get everything all worked out with yours, sound like it would look cool. I am working with a 2nd gen though also. I saw someone with Skyline tail lights on their car....looked pretty sick I think. Wish I haad the resources to do that.

Well, for second gens, seeing as the lights are square, it doesn't seem like it'd be too hard to find a set that would fit. People use the BMW's because they're projectors and nobody makes /actual/ projectors for escorts. Seems like older protege, corolla, or maybe accord lights might be able to be swapped in... I haven't actually checked on any of that, but with enough modding you can put anything in.

Wish I had that much time. If it looks like any of the other mods he's done on the rest of his cardomain page they'll look great.

yeahthe skyline tails are cool...right now I am in the process of aquiring some of them. I dont want to reshape my trunk like hitincry did, I want to try and put one circle where the outer break housing is and then put the other one on the trunk. Not to sure how I am gonna go about it, but I hope it looks good when it gets all done.

does anyone know exactly which model bmw headlights fits a 2gen?
none. without fabrication no bmw lights fit.

with some fabrication for mounting brackets and whatnot, E36 lights do...i think the years misfit quoted were right.

I got new 2nd gen escort headlights from e-bay/A1 auto off the internet for $78 US plus S&H. The fit sucks. They are no way as good of a fit as the ones that were in there.

I had to pay the body shop $50 to cut and shape; and get them to custom fit them in there so it would look half decent. It still doesn't look right.

I'm very disappointed with the poor build. :(

For the direct replacement, it should be a direct fit with little/NO fumbling about. And certainly one should need to have a bodyshop do it.

There should be a warning on these escort headlights that says: "will not directly bolt onto escort without professional modification"
