whell, it went today. so i am eather going to raplace it or look for another car. only because i don´t know what esle is going to go next. how hard it it to install?

A head gasket isn´t the end of a car at all. But I know people who have tried to do it by themself and screwed it up.

Find another scort owner thats done it, and do the work yourself. With experience it can be cheaper then a new car by far...and feel the horses come to life with a solid seal on the head.

i found out that the problem was not the head gasket, but a lot of oil was in the pvc fileter, and getting sucked into the engine. i cleaned it out and no problem. do you think i should still shance my gaskest any way? it has never been done, and it has like 148,000 miles on it

If it ain´t broke, don´t fix it.

No point in tearing it all apart to change a gasket that isn´t leaking. Now, if you were going to port and polish the head, and deck it slightly...
