Ok i own a 98 ford escort zx2, I blew my motor a few weeks ago and i got a new one and put the motor in now when i try to start it it wont start i am getting fuel but no spark if ne one can asnwer please do so thanks

I´m not too farmiliar with the ZX2, but what type of ignition system do they have? After I know that I may be able to help.

The ZX2 has a distributorless ignition. I would check the grounds, the electrical connectors, fuses, all the simple stuff that shouldn´t be a problem. Once spent three hours trying to figure out why a car wouldn´t start - fuel pump fuse blew when we were putting the engine in. hwo woulda thought. those are the kinds of things that you need to be on the lookout for.

Yeah, check the simple stupid stuff first. I could figure out why mine would start one day, then my roommate pointed out I forgot to plug the coil into the cap
