When i am in the car and am driving down the road it really jerks the car when it is shifting out of first but all of the other gears are fine so i was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to what is causing this. Also mine is an automatic if that helps.

I dont like automatics... auto´s take the control away from the car. Check the tranny fluid.

I´m with nascort, check the fluid levels. I had this same problem when I was driving an automatic honda civic EX... the thing "jumped" across gears. Felt like it would slam the throttle right before the shift. Was exceedingly annoying, especially since I´m used to driving a standard... I just wanted to tell the car to stfu and let ME shift!

Maybe it´s something with the settings of when to shift, but I don´t know anything about autos...
