are the torque spec s for a gtx valve cover the same as that of a gt, if not what are they?

i thought it was like 70 in lbs... because there was a guy on escortracing right before she went down that said he snaped 2 of them clean off when he went to autozone and borrowed a torque wrench... he was going to 70 foot lbs... 70 inch lbs is still not very tight... you dont even need a torque wrench at all... just squish the gasket and get them snug.

I posted the spec in another post by this same member - 43-78 in-lbs (I think I actually said 48-72) for the 1.8. 50-100 in-lb of the 1.9.

how about you make them snug? I have takin my valve cover off lots of times and have never tqed them to specs
