    nippon

nippon-motors.com also has a 1.8L turbo DOHC BP-T mazda engine for 995. I'm sure that doesn't include shipping. :) The link to the other page will take me like a year to type, go to ask jeeves and ask where you can buy a mazda GTX engine.

Look around online, GTXs aren't that hard to find.. I know of 2 that are within a few hours travel from my home from reading a few ads online.

I don't believe you'll find any automatic GTXs.. they're rally cars.

I've been considering buying one and attempting the full AWD swap. That would certainly make my wagon the ultimate sleeper/screamer/ski-mtn-hauler

I know this is way late...but here's my theory on A/C...

2 windows, 1 sunroof, 100+ mph...need it colder, drink a cold beer while doing it.

Okay, so stick to 2 windows and 80mph...and keep in mind..I'm living in AZ.

performance cars dont have A/C

Yeah thats what i'm saying now..screw the a/c......now that i've looked at the gtr instead of the gtx i think that's the one i want. The gtr is gonna cost me about 2k and it's rare so it would take a while to get but the 200 horses looks much better that the 180. Plus it seems everyone is getting the gtx now days and i want to be diffrent.

I could be way late, and off, but is not the 1.6L GTX only 130hp turbo. If it was 180Hp, it would make no sence since the 1.8L GTX is 180hp. COrrect me if i ma wrong

The 1.6L GTX makes 180 hp. It's the North American version of the 1.8L GTX that makes 180 hp which is only found in the JDM market across the pond. If you found a GTR from across the pond you'd find a 220 hp 1.8, which in my opinion is far more worth importing.

    So in short:

    1.6L GTX = Mazda 323GTX w/ 180 hp
    1.8L BPD8 = Mazda Protege, Miata/Ford Escort GT/Mercury Tracer LTS w/ 127 hp
    1.8L GTX = Mazda JDM w/ 180 hp
    1.8L GTR = Mazda JDM w/ 220 hp
