Hello all, I have a 92 GT with a GTR engine swap. I plan on changing the water pump and timing belt. What brand belt, pump and seals do you all suggest? Currently putting down 330 whp. Running a MS stand-alone with a greddy tdo6H 20g turbo and necessary supporting mods. I purchased this setup from a friend who has owned it for 14 years. I’m familiar with turbo imports, but unfamiliar with preferred parts branding for these particular engines/cars. My experience is more in Honda’s and nissan’s. Any input would be appreciated.

I'm finishing up my GT-R swap in my wagon. I used all stock replacement parts on my GT-R swap but its mostly stock except for the MS standalone and boost control. You can spend the extra money on aftermarket parts like $100 gator timing belt but a stock one would be sufficient. Also be careful around that 300hp mark, the g-series trans are glass. If you want more hp with no worries look into swapping in a toyota E-153 trans from a MR2, 00-01 Camery V6 or Solora, then you're good up to 700 hp with NO worries.

I really appreciate the response. I’m happy to hear that the oem belt will be sufficient. I have one spare transmission that came with the deal. He also threw in a LSD and heavy duty axles but neither are installed. Reading suggested that putting the lsd in will practically guarantee that the transmission will fail. What custom modifications are involved with the Toyota transmission swap? I havent run across this into yet. Are you familiar with any writeups? Again, thank you for the info. This swap has been surprisingly reliable for over a decade running at 280 whp (wastegate). Well over 30,000 miles. Hope your GTR wagon swap goes well.

No problem, you're main thing with the swap will be the adapter plate and fabricate the trans mounts. Join FEOA on FB also, more people over there. Heres mine, slowly but surely, haha 20200425_173813.jpg 20200425_173954.jpg
