i was wondering the other day...whoever had my car before me has put the front wheels on the back and the back wheels on the front. i can tell because the back tires are worn and the front ones arn't. (unless of course my car is really a RWD escort! lol) so when i was painting my rims las week, i noticed that the front rims were very very VERY colse to the strut, i mean i couldn't even get my finger through the gap.

then too whenever i look at the car it looks like the front wheels are bigger. so i was wondering if the rims are different sizes? im pretty sure there 15"s right? but i was wondering if maybe the back ones are supposed to wider, so now that there switched maybe that is causeing them to be to close. i was just wondering about this, maybe there suppoesed to be that way? thank you and sorry for the long post

yes both front and backs are 15's but maybe there is a larger tire on the front?? like usually cars come with 15(rim diameter) 195(tire width) and 65 tire hieght (from top of tire to start of rim, so maybe there is like 65 on the front and 50 on the back or if ure talking about the width maybe it's 195's in the back and 205 in the front for some reason! just read on the side of the tire it will tell u!

ya my tires are the same way its called a lazy previous owner who only got an oil change and never had their tires rotated. I've got about 50% on the front now and my back tires have no wear bars left.

You are basing this presumption by the amount of clearance between the rims and the struts; did you put the rims side by side? Or you can go to your local tire balancing shop and ask if you can check your rim width when your car comes in. Its usually on the balancing machine since they have to dial in the width of the tire to get an accurate measured balance.

Relativity! just check your tire numbers and if theyre the same then your golden.

Every long question deserves an even longer answer :p
