The other day the right front wheel started to make grinding noises. They would go away. I thought that it might have been from the rain we got around here.

It's gotten worse. What can it be, after only a few days? Brakes, seized caliper, hub, any suggestions before I go to a mechanic?

probably a wheel bearing or a problem with your brakes.

ive seen the friction material delaminate from the steel backing plate on a brake pad... and then its just metal on metal grinding.

You might just need new brake pads.

Are you sure it's not just the rust coming off the rotor when you brake for the first couple of times?

Check your pads and see how worn they are.
