You´d need the turbo, the manifold, a wastegate, an intercooler, intercooler/intake/exhaust piping, a GTX or custom ECU, some 1st gen NON turbo RX7 fuel injectors, along with upgrading your fuel delivery system (new pump, maybe new lines, etc) and you´d probably want to upgrade your intake and exhaust in the long run as well to 2 1/4" piping so the engine can breath better. Be careful with the transmission as they have a tendancy to break after the engine is turbo´d.
Blade, (or anyone else) am I missing anything?

I´m having my engine completely rebuilt before it gets turbocharged so I´m going to be doing it right the first time. My cardomain page check out page 6 to see my engine block.

are you missing anything?
-boost timer and oil lines to and from the turbo?
you´ll definetly want a new VAF and intake filter, and a new ignition system wouldnt be out of the question either.

and BOV of course. I was thinking about running lines off my A/C to a regluated storage tank (used to be a paintballer so I´ve got tons of pneumatics shit) then hooking it up to a BOV and then a simple solenoid actuated pilot valve, so every time I run a dead throttle it, I trip the switch and discharge a volume of air actuated by a spool valve. Then, I get an authentic BOV blowoff valve sound... lol
hell of a lot cheaper then actually putting a turbo on, and it´s gotta add at least 20hp :-] :-] :-]

I´d love to do it, and it looks like a 600 dollar mod at first that would take like 8 or 9 hours to install, but once you look at it carefully... woo boy. :-]

Thanks...but I don´t think you´d need a new VAF and intake filter. I think the stock system would do just fine. However, I think instead of a cone filter I´m just going to modify my stock system a little bit more than I already have. (thanks to a little advice from Zeemax). ;-)

not to sound like an asshole but if you are asking what all you need to turbocharge your car you need to do alot more research... It wouldn´t be a good thing if you hook all this stuff up then throw a rod or something silly like that... good luck with your project though.

I did my set up for about $2200 bucks so far, I could of done it for about $1600.

For 5-6psi
parts:
Exhaust manifold
Turbo
Downpipe
(had to have a custom flex pipe made to go to my cat too)
IC piping
IC
BOV
FMU (FPR 8:1)
Pump
Boost Gauge
A/F gauge (I´m using an EGT gauge)
Fuel Pressure Gauge
New O2 sensor and wiring
Ignition system w/ timing retard
Ignition coil
New spark plugs
Stuff to tap the oil pan
Stuff to do the oil lines and coolant lines
Stuff to fab the factory wastegate down to 5-6psi
Tons of check valves
2.25" exhaust
Much more little stuff

That´s to get started, to run more boost from there:
bigger injectors
fuel computer
boost controller
clutch
half shafts
2.5" exhaust

Go really insane:
Time to have a professional tune your car on a dyno
N2O
Haltech or other stand alone system
Ball bearing cartridge with bigger turbo
bigger IC pipe and IC
better seats to help with the whiplash ;-)

...and to get really crazy, don´t forget the bar to spray nitrous onto the intercooler core. Adam Saruwatari (sp?) used this setup on his Rx7. Cold is good...

why spray just on the IC, when you can spray with the air actually going into the motor....then you get temp drop + Oxidizer in the fuel :p

thats called a dry kit blade.... inorder for nitrous to work, it must mix with fuel, therefore "wet" kits automatically mix the nitrous with fuel before it hits the cylinders...this is the most efficient way to get a good boost from the nitrous.

on the note of "turboing" your car...if u really have to ask us, then u arent ready to do the work....learn more about how turbo´s work and how ur car works because turboing a vehicle is alot harder than just "plug n play"

I ask all the time about how and what I need to turbo. He never said he´s READY right now to turbo his car...he just wants to know what he needs prolly so he can en-masse his parts that are needed, because when he said "i know most of it but im sure im leaving a thing or two out", it makes me believe that he´s put a lot of thought and planning into it, so he´s just making sure something doesn´t go wrong. btw, Did he say he didn´t know how a turbo works? because I never got that impression from him.

wow james, this is the first time we´ve actually not agreed on something...i´m shocked.... my whole point was thsi....i like to scroll down the list of topics and find interesting topics to read and what not...when someone posts something about turbos, its cool if they ask for stuff like what model numbers, and how did u manage that...but this post...its just like someone getting a job as a mechanic and then telling their boss, ok i need to know how a car works.. get my point...?
