If i can continue to afford to fix up my Escort, i know I´ll eventually want to move on. Don´t get me wrong, i love my baby, and i want it to be a Mustang GT killer, but times gotta change. So over the past few days I´ve been thinking about my all time favorite list of cars...affordable cars. and no you won´t see a Viper GTS on here.

These are just cars that since i´ve found them i´ve always wanted one.

1. the 2002 or 2003 Subaru WRX. All wheel drive. 5.4 second 0-60s, for under 26000 dollars. i talk about this car constantly, ask my brother.
2. a Chevy Lumina LTZ (it has the same 3.8L V6 thats in the Grand Prix, I like it because it´s a sedan with some real, usable power)
3. Mitsubishi Lancer EVO. Any of the EVOs will do, but i´d most likely want the most recent one.
4. A highly upgradable Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R. These are among the quickest cars in the game Gran Turismo. I´ve gotten a top speed of around 238 mph.
5. Any Generation Ford Taurus SHO. Preferably a 1st, but i´d take a 2nd, or 3rd. I love these cars. 3.4L V8s with nice oval styling...
6. A beautiful wedge shaped Cherry Red Chevrolet Camaro Z28. 240 horses for roughly 25000 dollars?? 5.5 second 0-60? Who wouldn´t want one?
7. Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4. This is my friends FAVORITE car. i´d let him drive it too. To me it looks like a Cat ready to pounce on it´s victim with those big headlamps and 17" wheels.

I know i´m forgetting some cars, but there ya have it. My lifetime goal to get what i want...eventually.

Well one of my friends has a 92 3000GT-VR4, its a badass lil´ car. You can find one with roughly 100k on it for under 9k.

My friend Geoff Carver has a 99 Lumina LTZ. Its awesome. I love it. It ran a 16.02 stock. (yeah faster then my scort with intake and exhaust). And that was at Firebird Raceway at like 1300 ft over sealevel.

All the rest are pretty much on my oh-ah list of cars. But keep in mind that an R34 Skyline will cost more then a Viper GTS. But you can get a right hand drive JSpec R33 for about 40k imported by Motorex in City of Industry, CA.

Ah yes, i forgot one car. the new 350Z. baby blue. This thing is as fast as the WRX, only it´s 10000 dollars more expensive. I still want it though

Since some of us are just dreaming here. I thought I´d list my ultimate dream car.

A brand new, silver BMW Z8!

Just behind that comes a yellow Porshe 911 Turbo and behind that is a bright red Honda S2000. On the more practical side I would consider a Subaru WRX, Mazda MP3, or BMW 3 Series. I´m actually quite interested in the new Subaru Baja, what do guys thing about it?

The Baja will take some getting used to BUT, anything Subaru is cool to me. Ever since i found the WRX, I´ve been dreaming and drooling over it, but i would love any Subaru.
