im lookin into doin sum suspension upgrades when i finish my turbo build. i have been looking into the Meagan Racing springs on ebay, but i cant decied on the struts. i want a pretty good drop.i want around 2 inch in the front and mayb inch n half or more in back. i kno im gonna be gettin either 16 or 17's for rims, and i them to be right at the fenders when its dropped for a mean stance. but im also gonna have the custom bumper on the front so hope that dont drag..lol But when i do the suspension, i will also be doing all new ES bushings and stuff! Lemme kno what u guys have in mind. thanks

Your best choice maybe the S/R struts from the S/R ZX2. There are stronger than the other struts and can easily handle lowering. If you want to use them on the 2nd gen, you will need special upper mounts. I believe they are available through ZXTuner.com, but unsure of price. When I lowered my car, I used 1.8" Intrax springs and just KYB GR-2 struts. Along with a Suspension Techniques sway bar kit, the car handles extremely well. I really feel the road though, but that's the way I like it. Have had the suspension for over 5 years with not a single issue( OK I had to replace ball joints, but that is to be expected).

The mounts you need are from a ZX2/3rd gen and the reason is because the SR struts have a larger diameter shaft that will not fit thru your mounts. You can order the mounts thru ZXtuner like LOWETGT said, or you can do what I did and find a low mileage car at the junkyard and pull them your self for a much better price, and that way you can get all new springs seats and bump stops, top mounts, bearings, boots etc....... I got all that stuff for all 4 corners from a 40K ZX2 for a little more then ZXtuner is charging for just a pair of mounts and bearings

You don't need special upper mounts for them to fit, just 3rd gen/zx2 upper mounts in front.

I remember that the set of Intrax springs were about $200. Beware though, 5 years ago the were purple in color new, no idea now. They sit so far in they are hard to see anyway. The sway bar kit (Suspension Techniques) --highly recommended!, were about $300.
