I just bought a new cluster off of ebay with a tach! I cant wait till it gets here... I was looking on ebay and saw that you can buy new white gauges for the car. I also saw in the "how-to" that somebody made their own gauges for a 2nd gen.

Does anybody have a scanned copy or a custom set of gauges I can use for my car?

Thanks!

I just installed a cluster with a tach as well. It's sort of anti-climatic once you get it in. I drive my car like an old woman so the rpms never get much above 2400. So I get to watch the needle move about half an inch up and down most of the time.

I did, however, sleep better last night knowing that I had it installed, so there's that.

One thing I would recommend is cleaning the clear bezel with plastic polish while you have it apart if it needs it. I cleaned mine with some plasticX and it is invisible in the car. It still has a good number of scratches when you hold it up to the light but once I got it installed in the car... magnificent!

As for gauges, I can't help you there. I think the white replacement faces look freaking awesome when lit up at night but I hate the look during the day so I will be sticking with black.

Just out of curiosity, if you don't mind sharing, how much did you pay for the tach on ebay?

Yeah, you may be right... but I just can't wait to get it in. It's just something for me to watch instead of the road i guess, haha...

I saw some of the white gauges on ebay, but they are either for a Zx2 or a cluster without a tach... Is there a website for these somewhere else?

I was thinking about just switching the plastic piece off of my old cluster on to the new one as well. That way I dont ruin the new piece with a cleaner that is too abrasive.

As far as how much I paid for it, I got it from, I believe, Fox motorsports and I got it for about $26 and about $10 shipping. I thought it was a good buy..

That's the best deal I have heard of on a cluster with a tach off ebay. Congrats!

Sadly I can't help you with where to buy gauges as I have no interest in going that route.

I assume the cluster was used. If this is the case then you might want to swap in the better window of the two. I can attest that plasticX is no where near too abrasive.

One other recommendation I might make is that once you get new cluster plugged up that you turn the key on to make sure all the bulbs are still working. Turn on the headlights to verify more of the same. I can imagine it would frustrating as heck to get the dash reassembled only to find that you have a burned out bulb somewhere.

Not to be a noob or anything, but...

On that alfaotto website, I cant find the price of the gauges or where to order them at. Do I just call them, or am I just missing something?

Thanks for your help!

I've never ordered directly from their site, because they sell most of the gauges on eBay. If you don't see what you want on eBay, just email or call them.

Good Deal , but I got mine for 9.99 + 14.00 shipping.
I did a trick on mine to make it look different.
What do you think?

This is exactly as I wanted it. Except as the over light on the temp needle. But its done.

Looks pretty sweet! How did you get the needles red?

I checked out the the tracking number for my cluster and it should be here tomorrow... I won't get the white-face for a week or so though...

I'll be sure to post pics too!!!

I think he changed the light bulbs for illumination. It's noticeable around the trip odometer.

Awesome... I ordered my white face the other day and it should come sometime next week... However, I got my cluster in and all hooked up. But like how I asked before though, how would you go about and change the color of the needles? The ones that I got with this cluster are an off-green...

I also got a stereo mount kit and got it all hooked up today! It was a pain in the butt to hook up but its all in there. One dilemna though... If your looking at the stereo, there were two wires on the right (where the rear def. would be on the old stock cassette radio) that were just there. I couldn't find the mating half of the plug to plug it in when I was done. Then, I think that the plug was for the lights for the climate control. Is this common, or did I just make a boo-boo?

As was said before, change the color of the bulbs inside the cluster.
