ok a quick question, i have an 89 LX....i want to change the gauges to white face....where can i pick those up, and secondly are the bulbs that the escort uses green, or can you change the colors, if you can i want to turn them blue, cuz i have a little blue scort???

all help would be appreciated

as far as I know the bulbs are white but there´s little plastic or some sort of film on the gauge face itself that is green. I´m planning on changing my gauges too so I´m in the same boat as you are question wise.

I got a set of really cool white face guages from EBAY for my 94 GT and they can be either green or blue froma switch. They look really nice too!!!

Yeah those are 65 bucks and they look almost stock at night. if you´re gonna do it make it more...unique.

Seth: Check out my cardomain site and look at my gagues there. They are made by U.P.R. Auto. They run about 30.00 I think. They have an "indiglo" look to them at night. I will post pics. of that when I get the chance. I really like the gauges though....and I painted my needles on it red to see them better against the white background. ;-) Glad to see another 1st Genner on here! :-D

If you go to www.escortpower.com and go to downloads there r some there. Im doing the same but I have been told that if you just put the white gauges in and take out the stock ones you get bad shadows on the gauges at night. I am trying to find out how I can fix this problem so if you have any ideas I would like to here them.

Hey, How are you doin' ?

I have an Escort Lx and I have replaced the original bulbs in the instrument cluster with some blue one...But, after i did it, i found out that the color in the instrument cluster was coming from the gauges themselves and not the light...DAMN IT ! hehehehe...so I'm now looking for some after market gauges, but they all seems to be blue tinted...( I've looked on www.procarparts.com) .....so i would like to know if you'd know some after market gauge that are not already tinted .....cauz i dont want the blue tint they have chosen!!!

Yeah the green colour is from the face(made of green plastic) not the bulbs. I had NR white faces(also of green plastic). See my review of them in the review section.
I tried red bullbs but it turned out too dark.
