I've lived w/o a tachometer for way too long now and a visit to the junk yard gave me opportunity to finally get a gauge cluster with a tachometer. My car is a 95 LX manual. It's got that stupid little shifter light that I swear at almost everytime it goes on. The speedometer is in the center, fuel on the left, and temperature on the right. The donor car was a 96 LX automatic. The cluster from the donor car has (from left to right) temp, fuel, speedometer, tachometer. Both clusters have three connections in the rear and my car plugs went right into the donor cluster just fine. Call me an idiot if you want to for thinking that I'd be able to just plug this thing in and have it work. I was reading other posts and read something about needing another electronic piece for the tach. Anyway, the cluster is in my car now but does not light up, warning lights except for the battery light do not go on. (no airbag, oil etc) Could anyone give me more information about this other part that I might need, and/or information about rewiring the thing to make it work. Thanks guys/girls!
