Gauge Cluster Bezel removal

    If you look hard enough at the picture you'll see three sets of holes. This is where you want to pry up the bezel otherwise it'll crack since the plastic they used is so flimsy. I usually start with the right most set and move to my left. Don't forget the screws under the plastic trim that goes under the gauge cluster. You need to pull it back to get at the screws. Once you remove all this you can pry out the bezel safely without cracking it although you still need to be careful when you pry it up. I use a flat blade screwdriver that seems to do the job but a set of plastic trim removers will work great if you're unsure.

    The cluster itself has 4 or 5 screws that hold it in to the dash frame. Once you remove these screws you'll need to pull the cluster forward and reach behind and unplug the 3 harnesses that are connected to it. There should be a small snap tab on top of each connector you press to disengage it from the cluster. Unlike the 2nd gen clusters, the 3rd gens are electronically controlled so no need to have to unscrew the speedo cable.

    Just thought I'd start a separate thread so when people look up how to get at the gauge cluster they can do so easily.
