i know i was talking about maybe starting a car club in SE MI, but it hasn't happened for me yet because of a lack of funds. but we should at least have an Escort meet somewhere, sometime soon, as i have just graduated from high school, and have alot of time this summer (between vacations that is) so......

I am going to take the initiative, and set a date, and designated meeting place. But I will only keep the date set as well as the meeting place if I can get more than just 2 people other than myself. If I can get a bunch of people together, maybe I will have to find someplace with a big parking lot, and talk to a store manager or something. But if I can get this going, that would be sweet. It would have to be a place with a big parking lot, that didn't get alot of business. If we can get this going, I would go looking around, and talking to some people. But we'd have to have like, a big tailgate party or something, with BBQ and pop and stuff(minus the tailgates of course). Plus I would have to fix my rust spots and get my car lookin all sharp. I was thinking sometime, maybe late june. Throw me some ideas guys.

I know some guys down here who've wantin' to do a meet for quite some time, but never had time or we'd usually forget about it.

I also have a car club with about six members, of a variety of different vehicles, from two Civics to a Ranger, to a Chevy Silverado.

I'd be happy to help, since I usually don't also see that many Escorts around here. I live in Monroe, about half way between Toledo and Detroit, right of 1-75.

Maybe at meet at Milan Dragway or something at Southland Mall in Taylor, or somewhere else like Willow Metropark? Just a few ideas.

I'd also bring some pop, hot dogs, or some chips.

sounds cool.... i could make it to southland mall in taylor, but it doesn't seem like the kind of place to have a car meeting..... maybe some place in the area though, within a couple blocks..... my buddy's dad belongs to a hotrod club, and they gather in the dick's sporting goods parking lot, which is right across the street. i could see about that.

well, i still have to check my calender, but let's shoot for either a friday night, or a saturday.

Anything after 2:30 will work for me.
I have Wednesdays and Sundays off, but Fridays and Saturdays will also work for me. I live in Monroe, so if we had a meet in Taylor, Southgate, for anywhere in that area would probably take me about 15-25 minutes to get there.

Usually if I go to Flexivity (Southgate Tire) I take Fort Street off of 1-75 all the way up.

But If I go to Southgate Mall, usually I'd take 75 to Eureka or US-24 all the way up.

Anyways, hopefully we'll figure a meet out soon.
