My fuseable link keeps blowing in my car and i cant figure out why. its the 100 amp main power one. I recently relocated my battery to the trunk and 3 days later this blows out on me. please help me.

Agreed. It needs to draw more current due to the higher resistance of the wire.


Just curious- did you ground through the chassis?

i traced the problem to the interior of the car. I was getting a ground signal from the one side of the main fusable link and when i pulled the fuse labeled BTM it went away. So i looked in my handy owners manual and read all the things that that fuse runs and when i pulled the room fuse the ground signal got really weak. I started to drive the car and my main fuse blew again. I also put the battery back up front and i was using 4 gauge wire.

my alternator was bad causing the charging terminal to put out a ground signal and when it touched the fusebox it kept blowing out fuses.
