Hello everyone. I was wondering if I could get some help with some fuel pump wiring info. mine went out recently so to save money( I know, I know) I bought one off of a guy on craigslist who had a car he was parting out. picked it up for 50 bucks and of course, he said it works fine. Well, I didn't look at it too much when i was with him and to make a long story short, the wiring harness was cut in half and cut ends were taped topgether but not actually wired back up, hiding the cut. Anyway, I'm going to attempt to wire it back together but there are two Blk/Wht wires, two black wires, a red and a brown. obviously I know about the red and brown ones but I need help with the two blk/wht, and the two blk. I don't want to wire it incorrectly and fry it. here is a crude picture I drew of where I am at with this and was wondering if someone could help me with reconnecting the remaining wires correctly. thanks!

Well, there goes my idea. I have a '97, and I suspect since the fuel system is different, the wiring may be different.

well, 97 through 2002 were pretty much the same designed car so I'd be willing to guess that from 97-99 they use the same fuel pump. than again, probably not. have you looked at my diagram I drew? does the wiring look similar to yours?

What year car did the newer pump come out of?
same year. I'd just match them up but the problem is that the old one went out with the trash the day before (trash day) so I'm kind of stuck at this point.

All i really need is for someone with the same year to lift up their rear seat and remove the screwed down cover and just trace the wires from the plug to the pump, and match em on my drawn diagram. I would be very grateful. :D

It's all good man, I'm finding the same. that's why I'm asking for someone who has the same vehicle with the original pump if they can take a look at theirs and possibly fill in my blanks. I'm about to flag someone down on the road if I have to. lol.

It's all good man, thanks for checking. i think the only thing at this point is for someone who has the same vehicle with the original pump to take a look at theirs and possibly fill in my blanks. I'm probably gonna go to a salvage yard and see if I can find one to compare to also.
