Hey new to this site I have a 90 lx that I race on the dirt ovals. My problem is I am not getting fuel, the pump is working i am getting fuel all the way to the injector but the injector is not releasing the fuel. I have replaced the injector and the control module which someone told me had to do with the fuel I thought it was just for spark but anyway thats were I am at I know its getting fuel to the injector but its not coming out at all any suggestions will be greatley appreciated....

Assuming you have the correct fuel pressure, it would most likely be an electrical problem. It sounds like there's a break in the wires somewhere between the injector and the ecu. Thoroughly check the wiring and the connectors. Be sure there is no corrosion on any terminals as well. If you installed a used injector from a junk yard it's possible you pulled a bum injector.

Hope that helps

instead of checking the wires...

disconnect one of the injectors and also the spark plug that corresponds to that cylinder. Check to see if you're getting a voltage at that injector. Do this same thing with all the injectors to make sure they're getting a voltage. If they're not, it's probably your ECU or the wiring. If they are getting a voltage and you're still not getting enough fuel, chances are that either
1. your fuel pressure isn't high enough, or
2. your injectors are getting old and tired.

-- I suggest taking your fuel filter out and replacing it. It probably isn't the problem, but it couldn't hurt.

I had a simular problem with a first gen throttle body fuel injectred Escort that was set up to Durby. Some one had cut the wrong wire some where and the fuel injector would not fire, but it did have spark.
To test the injector, just unplug it from the harness and jumper wires to the injector with the car on (pump running) you should beable to see the fuel squirt.

I ended up making my owned stand alone fuel managment. I used one of the 12v timers at my shop that we build for industrail dust collectors. It sends out varible pulse width, I hooked it's output to the injector and ran the pulse duration signal to the car TPS sensor for the higher throttle and used the throttle shut switch for a set idel pulse width. I also used the under voltage signal (dummy light control) from the alternator to tell the system if the motor stalled so it would'nt continue to dump fuel if the motor quit.
It was basicly a Electronic Carb.

Worked great, the car actully made it to a second durby. Still ran after words.

The same thing probably happened here a wire got disconnected that shouldn't have.

Ok so the two wires coming out of the injector 1 is to the car ignition the other gets a pulse from the computer to tell it when to open . right? and you just bypassed the comp and sent the injector your own pulse.

Yep.

I just completely unplugged the injector and grounded one wire and sent the pulse positive signal to the other wire.

AS long as you have spark and fuel presure you can keep the car running by just tapping the positive injector wire on the battery positve, neat hua?
