Ractive makes a polished front strut bar for the 2nd gen scorts.
I got mine from NOPI for $34.65. The part # is 472-0795. I put it on myself last week and the installation wasn´t too hard.

for the first gens go to overboosted.com and contact mike, i´m not sure about the price, i think around $60,(the only problem with these is that they hit the underneath of the hood a little, but i´ve been told it doesn´t cause any problems, i ordered one but i didn´t get it yet so i´ll let everybody know about the hood thing when i get it)
also check out the first gen section of the ERDT message board, theres a post about strut tower bars.

2red: have you noticed any handling gains, or have you not had the opportunity to take it to a place where it would challenge that aspect? How much was shipping?

Siragen, no I haven´t had the chance to push the car through any corners yet, as the roads have been snowy and a mess here since. I guess I´ve driven it about 2 miles since I put the bar on. I wanted to take it out that night but snow was predicted, and sure enough it started at like 7PM. It´s garaged waiting for the next clear weather that comes along.
I´ll be sure to post when I have some conclusions to share, but keep in mind that my suspension is otherwise 100% stock. I may add some more handling mods in the future.

I paid $21.59 shipping, but also ordered a Pacesetter exhaust along with it, so I´m sure that was the costly item to ship.
