^ ndlm got it. The automatic transmission ones are actually oil filled (hydraulic mount) to try and dampen idle vibrations while in Drive.

now, the new question is, do i go ahead and buy all 4 mounts at a packaged discount or just buy the front for 20 bux?
all 4 with shipping is like $60 from rockauto.
    it's 20 shipped from amazon.

dunno if/when will ever change the rear motor mount.
might do the tranny mount under the battery tray as it seems readily accessible.
    decisions, decisions . .. . .

I found that the best way to remove the rear mount is to remove both crossmembers, jack the car up with a block of wood under transmission and loosen the mount under the battery. By doing this, you are able to access the upper bolt holding the rear mount bracket. This will allow the bracket to swing down and allow you to replace mount.

I bought 2 of my mounts on eBay for about $10-15 each, using the buy-it-now.

umm... i thik using the buy-it-now ... doesn't help the price any?
i just keep looking at the price now n then.
maybe i can see it get lower.
