I am about to replace the front pads on my 97lx.I am sure Ill figure it out , but any pointers ? Do the pins drive out? There was a wire clip that 1/2 way fell off and was rubbibg onb the rotor. Is this an antirattle clip , or does it hold the pins in?

One holds the pins in and the other stops rattles and helps hold the first clip in. If any of the clips are broken buy one caliper hardware kit, it will have replacements. If they aren't rusted the pins will slide right out, but if they are rusted then have fun. On my last brake job I broke one pin and badly mangled another. I was glad I bought the hardware kit. Be sure to have a large pair of pliers or C-clamp to push the caliper piston back.
