I'm 90% sure this has already been covered but what are the chances the fox body mustang rims will fit my 89 lx. I believe they are both 4x108. But I'm wondering about the clearance I would have if they would fit. I think that is where the offset comes into play. Any info would be greatly appreciated

Well always depends on tires and drop.
    I know 205/50r15 not a problem
195/50r16 good but some rubbing on lock to lock.

I had a set of the 15's on mine at one point, the cleared everything no problem. Also ran a set of 16" Thunderbird Turbo Coupe wheels as well. Still have those, they look really nice on the Escort.

The offset is different, but they'll still fit.

I know 195/60/r15 fit on GT rims that are on my LX. I have two of those beauties. Wondering if I get another set of 195/60/r15s and slap em on these rims s-l400.jpg

They do stick out a bit more, nothing over the top though. It actually fills out the wheel wells a bit better IMO.

Emmm tire shop said the smallest tire I can put on these rims are a 235? On a 15x 8 rim. Am I just dreaming about getting these things on my car ?

IMG-0619.JPG 195/60 in the rear and 195/55 in the front (simply due to budget and what I could find quickly)

So I got bored today and busted one of the tires off my doner foxbodys rims. And got a actual measurement from bread to bead. 7" just like the castings say. Everything I can find on line says 195/60/15 will fit on a 15x7 rim. That's the smallest tire you can put on a 15x7 rim. Im99% sure the guys at the tire shop didn't want to do it. I guess they caught wind of what I wanted to do and they said nope not happening

Did you have to use any spacers or anything? Or did you just slap them on and away you go?
