omg......... welp 2day got the scort runnin again. so anyway ive been seeing these focus's at our local track alot racing. so i found out it was some guys who owned an all ford junk yard!! i went down and omg....... theve got everything i think!! probes, mustangs, sables, focus. escorts, all kinds of stuff ther. so i got to talkin with them, and these guys r really knowledgable on scorts!! but i think i found what im goina do as for motor swap...... yea i know i just put the 2.0l in. but this guy has a 2003 zetec 3800miles, 5spd all mounts and wires and computer. 1000bucks!!
also he said he can get me a REAL GOOD deal on a jackson supercharger for it!! he said also he help me with any proablems or questions id have, and if i couldnt figure it out hed come and help me do the swap!! omg...... im in heaven!! only 20miles from my house!! yippie!!

They make one for a Mazda miata with a 1.8, but I think that the intake is different on the miata, to the EGT 1.8? I asked this question, but peeps said that it wouldn't work, so I would look into puttin the miata head on the 1.8? or swap the whole engine.

Hey wicked, good find, do they let you in and look around or do they just pull it for you? I am looking for a KL-03 from a probe GT, so I can supercharge that, hehe

justin theve got several probe gt's, man theve got everything!! i told ya i hit the mother load, what im goina do is get the phone # from him and c if he can give us all a discount on some parts and stuff. let me see what i can find out. but like i said its the mother load!!

if you went to a miata head you would be stuck with the same thing you already havehe reason why is that the miata motor sits front to rear, rwd
so the intake sits in the front of the motor. you turn the motor sideways like our! you would have to run the intake next to the firewall, or over the exaust manifold, case the tb is on the oppiste side,
and the motors are the same!

Actually the intake on the Miata faces the opposite way from the 1.8 on the EGT. The Miata is of course RWD, so the clutch and flywheel side (drivers side on the EGT) sits towards the rear, so the intake comes from the front. Same way it is on any RWD car.

You could always try throwing in the 1.8 from the Miata, it makes 142-147 hp instead of 127 hp, and it's exactly the same as the 1.8 in the EGT. (save for the intake)

Best thing is http://www.flyinmiata.com makes a turbocharger bolt on kit for the Miata. Base for an FMII system you'll pay $4900 and can produce upwards of 220-240 hp at 15 psi with a built bottom end. :wink:

If you want to make some serious power get one of those. I'm going to build my 1.8 myself though. :p

nah, dude I as just messing with ya about the wing. I wouldn't touch that skateboard for anything. but I do need the revervse light/body panel from a blue 97-98 escort. I have one but it is a home painted job. it doesn't look hideous, but if you look you CAN tell.
