With the budget crunch why could Ford build (Rebuild?) with this to keep law enforcement cost down?

Got to be cheaper to run than Crown Vics. And then use mini-vans a prisoner transports?

 to be honest, i've always wondered about why the "po-po shops" don't buy smaller v-6 or turbo 4 cars for general ticket giving and mild pursuits and maybe a mini van or even just a few crown vics in the event that they actually have to take someone in. thin about it, 90% of people they are pulling over is just a ticket and then they're on their way, no need to burn gas in a 302 interceptor and haul around a ~3000 lb vehicle all day. besides, in pursuits, the smaller cars would be able to corner better than the vics and not wash out.

    :lmao:

Maybe use it as The Official Pace Car of the Special Olympics?

Dude! no joke, over in Europe they used Scorts til they stopped makin them! Now they use Focus's. Both the Escort and Focus's over there are TT NE ways! you bet it would save gas! But as we have all learned n the past 102 days, the government don't have a problem with spending our Tax payers dollars NE ways, so whats the point in trying to talk sence into them.
