I love my sho and all but i just though some one might get a kick out of this and be able to use it in an argument against tauruses, in my opinion its driver error but what can i say. I was on my way to the junk yard and i was stopped at a light. I noticed that i had no roll back (manual trans). When the light changed i went to start moving and my breaks were grinding real heavy on the back. So i decided to play it safe and turn around and go back home. Well about 3 blocks from home my car is badly smoking and some one yells to me that my back is pooring out smoke. I hurry home and park to find that my rear breaks are on fire. Almost looked like a barbeque comming out of my rims. I ran into my house to find something to put water in and ran back out and put out the fire. I have to take a look at the dammage tommarow after school. Hopefully i will only need a set of break pads and a rotor but i will have to keep my fingures crossed.....lol

Well i pulled off the the rim today to find that al the rubber pieces on my callipere have been burnt to a crisp, but the dammage isnt that bad. A new caliper will cost me $60 along with a new pair of pads wich will cost me another $25 but all in all it could have been worse.

check your porporting(sp) valve, on my dads 89 soon to be mine, it went bad and he didnt have rear brakes for at least a year and a half, that might be the reason your brakes held. Also if you get new brake lines make sure they are for the left and rights side, the dumb shits at napa gave my dad two left side lines, there reasoning well they are the same arent they.
