Hey Guys

I'm trying to get off a pair of fog lights off a 94-94 escort gt for my LX. For the life of me they would not unbolt. I got under it used a socket kept on turning it and it would only turn but wont actually untighten. Is there something keeping the bolt maybe a nut that i cant see. If so..how would i get to it?

there is a washer-like round thingamabobber that the bolt screws into on the foglight bracket. I have the same problem. Solution, take a flat tip screwdriver and carefully pry on the bracket so you can get the foglight out of the bracket. Also dont forget to remove the adjustment screw. Be careful not to lose the spring and washer when you do so.

Then you should be able to see the deals it screws into. Take a needle nose pliers or vice grips or whatever makes you happy and hold the round thingamabobber while you turn the bolts.


Thingamabobber is a little known industry term that highly scientifically is defined as the replacement term for anything I cant remember the name of.

The piece that the bolts screw into broke on the top side so all it's doing is just spinning.

Thanks..but i'm kind of confused with the screwdriver part..so i try to pry the flat head in between the to parts that the bolt is holding down rite? Between the bumper and the fog light assembly?
