First time clutch replacement

    Just got the car recently its a 1999 zx2 been having a hell of a time, made some mistakes need some help got the car on a lift engine amd transmission have jacks supporting them transmission is unbolted but I never in did the drive shafts because they are stuck ive tried prying and hammering and pulling and can't get them off was wondering if there is a way to replace a clutch with out removing axles

    I had similar problems taking the transmission out. I ended up getting a 5lb slide hammer with a claw attachment.

    I suppose you could take just the engine out but i've never tried it and that might be impossible.

    the passenger side for zx2 has half shaft and simply unbolts then slides out

    the driver side is the side held in with clip on axle. if you cannot get this out then you can just remove the axle from the hub and remove trans with axle attached
