I'm interested but the problem is that when we start doing those convoy's people start doing crazy speeds. Yeah I speed too and especially have in the past, but now I speed only under strictly restricted circumstances; i.e. when I know I'm not going to get caught. And I know when people start speed in this convoy, my rules of speeding aren't being adhered too.

So if you can address this shiny blue, I'll join the convoy, if not, I'm not joinging a convoy, I can't afford it financially. I want to be able to drive, I like it too much. I'm past my last speeding ticket straw. I've got a court case in december, which if I lose, I'll have to stop driving.

You don't have to worry about the "speeding convoy" issue.
I think you're forgetting that I drive an 89 LX.

Anyways, if we can get enough people to actually form a convoy, I think it would be kind of neat to have a giant line-up of Escorts running down the highway to the meet (at 100km/h of course)

I just don't want to put off organizing a convoy too long, or else it'll be tough to organize the different meeting points for people to join up.

I should be able to make it.

Convoy - which way are you going. Do I need to pick it up on the 401 in the Cambridge Kitchener area, or will you be going right through my home town down the 403?

Either way, I should be in.

London, now that's close to home!!

I will try to make it with the Cloned GT. Probably make a day of it by bringing my wife and after ogling all the other Escorts we can catch up with my son for a late lunch.

BTW what is the price of gas doing in other areas. We just got back from Cedar Point and the bandits have it up to 85.9!!!!!

Picup location 3 - From Hamilton, proceed down 403 (the forgotton highway) stop at the Tim Hortons on Garden Ave. in Brantford. Matt will be there waiting. :joker:

Proceed down 403 to 401 at Woodstock. Pick up more people. :eek:ccasion7:
Boogy it on down to London.

Okay...so today (Saturday Aug 30th) I had to drive out to Sarnia to meet up with a buddy of mine, and during the trip out there, I passed by Flying J's....the place we're supposed to meet. It only took me roughly an hour and a half from downtown Toronto to get there.
I went along the QEW and jumped on the 403 in Hamilton and took 403 right to 401. I figured going right along the 401 from Toronto would be slower. :D
At any rate, it seems like a pretty cool (and BIG) place to meet.

I figure after hitting all the stops along the convoy, we should be able to make it there by roughly 12:30 or 1pm.

Also, has anyone come up with a definite stop for Convoy Pickup Location 3??
We'll be travelling along 403 then 401 so anywhere along that route is fine.

Possible 403 meet locations. Once you pass Ancaster there's pretty well no stops until Brantford.

As far as stops here, I'm thinking of places with a slightly larger parking lots and within about 30 sec of the highway.

Tim Hortins - 403 and Garden Ave.

Lynden Park Mall - 403 and Wayne Gretzky Parkway

Home Depot - Holiday Drive, off of Wayne Gretzky Parkway at 403

The Home Depot parking lot would be the best because we can literally watch you drive by and exit. It has a way beter view of the highway then Lynden Park Mall.

You should arrive at 11:30 if you leave the Hammer at 11:00.

How many people are going to show up for a pick up in this area? I think we should also have a pick up in Woodstock for about 12:15. This way we could hit the Kitchener Cambridge crowd who would be best to take the 401.

My two cents :?
