bring it to redline then drop and LET ´ER RIP!!! quite literally, as your transmission/tires/engine get ripped apart... 
in my experience w/ my LX, bring it anywhere from 2-3K on the tach, then softly drop it, not just completely letting go. also depends on the road conditions, being slippery and what not
