Yes, what did you do to increase your horsepower by 48hp? How much torque do you make? And why does your car weight 3400lbs 8O Stock LX's should be around 2400-2500lbs :? All I see is a muffler. I hate to rain on your parade, especially for a newer member, but I'm calling BS on your estimated power until I see at least some engine pics. Even if you did have that power, why do you still have the auto in it? The auto is the biggest mushbox power loss you can get.

It looks nice though :wink:

he should only have around 88-100HP not 136Hp if you are getting that let all the LX owners know how you did

with every thing that i did to my car i am only pushing 115Hp mabe i havent had it dynoed in a while

I'm not one to talk crap about people, but I'll be honest and give you a reality check. I'm not going to sit here like the rest of the guys and pat you on the head and give you a cookie to placate you. Your escort looks like crap. It looks shoddy and half-assed, like the work of a 16 year old kid who wants to be cool and doesn't have a lot of cash, so he slaps on a bunch of fast and furious propaganda to try to be cool, when really he would have been much better off keeping it stock and not looking like a loser.

As for the 136 horsepower... um... news flash, despite what they may tell you, vinyl doesn't add 10hp. I wouldn't be suprised if my escort GT was making 100 to the wheels, even with the mods I have.

sorry for being such a jerk, I'm just keeping it real. I think it's hideous. And that's not because I don't like you or anything. It's because your car is hideous.

well it is just an estimate i have a custom cold air, pacesetter headers, shaved the head, adjustable cam gear and a oversized intake manifold out of a taurus im really am prolly on pushin close to 115 - 120 or in that range i was over confident when i created that page and kind of rice inspired but now im coming to the realization i own a domestic vehicle and im not gona make it look ricey, its a sleeper i put all the original covers over the headers and camgear all you can see is the new heatshield cause the old one was falling apart and the oversized ignition wires

but i can say one thing, a stock civic cant hold me -=X

and by the way a stock escort gt cant hold me either and the 2.0 spi does'nt pass me intill 4th gear

Still, 120hp = NO DICE

Maybe 110hp, 115 at most at the CRANK. Doesn't matter what you did to the engine, you autobox is eating you power.

Yep. It took me almost 2 years to figure out that my escort GT sucks ass.

Then I grew a brain and got a 3000GT. All the mods in the world to my EGT still wouldn't even compare to the stock 3000GT. Better cars are better. Period. End of story. And if you disagree with me, you're wrong.

I know my LX sucks, until I have to pay for gas :D

Sirigans all hopped up on power after getting that 3000gt. Of all people Sirigan, you should know our throwaway POS's are no comparison to a car somebody invested time in to make sporty and fun to drive :p

Alright people, settle down. Let me set down a guideline before you start arguing:

I'm smart, and you're stupid.

And the base model 3kgt really isn't overly powerful either. I wouldn't be at all suprised if an EGT with a little work could beat it in a straight line. I'm just saying that it's 10 times the car that the escort is.
