Hey all...

Was doing some research onto transplanting the FE3 engine (1st gen 2nd version of DOHC 2.0 n/a and turbo)into a 2G Probe GT and haven´t found anything so far browsing and searching the forums here. I was wondering if this was possible to swap into the early-90´s model Escort GT. Engine mount lineup, etc. Any help is appreciated.

Wow, that sounds like fun. As the owner of the 1st gen MX-6 I´m pretty up to date on the FE3 stuff. I don´t think that it would be a bolt in affair. The BP motor/ tranny doesn´t have the same bolt pattern so getting the FE3 to fit the tranny would involve custom adapter bracket. The 1st gen MX-6 tranny will fit the FE3, but then, it would be pretty fun stuffing the F2T (turbo 2.2 from the MX-6) into the Escort. I have a ´93 EGT and it has crossed my mind. The thing is the F series stuff is different than the B series and is not 100% interchangeable
