8O I've got a new and an almost completely feasible Body kit plan!

http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/view_page.pl?page_id=255130&page=10

Check it out! I put up a new page with everything I want to buy for my car. Only problem is I don't know where to get a Laser Front bumper at. ~*Anyone know of a site that has the bumper itself for sale??

In case you read all the post before visiting sites, here's basically what my idea calls for:

1. Onderground Rear bumper
2. Onderground side skirts
3. Laser grille
4. Laser headlights
5. Laser front bumper
6. Laser lower bumper lip
7. Laser rear liftgate hatch (to take the place of the red reflector on my car)

Lastly I can't decide on which one I like best....
8. Spydarauto Ram Air hood
OR
9. Spydarauto Dual snorkel hood

Had a look at your site - interesting. The exteriors you have planned look good but e x p e n s i v e 8O Can't sign your guest-book - not a member, but good site indeed. :D

What do you think of this mod., one of the only ones made specifically for the MkV Escort!! Personally I loathe the bumper: the 'hood' is a skin; would I dare? :?

Anything having to do with a car will be expensive, siragan. It'll cost me roughly 1500-1800 plus shipping and the importing of the laser stuff. I think it'll be worth it, but I am still working on my engine block first. So I will have the go and the show. All I want is something unique. Don't you?

Thanks man, I knew someone would eventually give me some props on my crazy ideas

In all honesty, I haven't begun to call/write/harass any of these businesses about their products, so I can't say anything (good or bad) about spydar, onderground, or corksport.

Thanks Foxy. btw kept forgetting to respond to this... I think this would make your car look totally badass. I think you should if you really really want to... to me, it's just a matter of backing it up, I would rather do my engine then kit my car, but I also would like to kit my car to have something slightly different to stare at sometimes 8)

James.. I don't know what to say.

$1800+The time to PROPERLY install it+repainting the whole car

All to make your car SLOWER.
All that will do is f' up your aerodynamics (believe it or not, Ford kinda knew what they were doing), and weigh you down tremendously.

But that's just my opinion..
I mean it's your car, ufck it. :)

1800---so what.....like he said, no rent to pay and he works a butt load..
properly install it---its not that hard damn....gotta be stupid not to figure out how to do it
repainting the whole car--once again stupid...all he's gotta do is take a paint flake from his original paint and get it mixed to match it then paint just the pieces he needs....

and aerodynamics??? sigh...its not gonna make that much diff...the only real thing thats gonna affect is WEIGHT....but that just depends on the type of material they use to make it...

i love how u just appear out of nowhere and constantly post negative threads....damn right its his car...you said it urself...so if its his car, why does it fuckin matter to you....just dont post...

i shall call you sittinlow the 2nd...

(sittinlow, u've been gettin much better...i'm just referring to the old sittinlow.)

Whoa dood.. unbunch your panties..
First of all, James has repeatedly said that he wants his car to be a full-on drag machine. Full on drag machines to not have body kits. I'm just letting him know my opinion. I'm sure James already knew what my opinion was gonna be, and James knows that I give him a hard time for the hell of it. I give you a hard time because you starts posts such as "I'm tired of reading BS", and then post a whole topic of BS the next day. I don't get it.. But i come to this board to have fun, and try to let everyone know the effects of their choices before they make them. I'm not calling anyone dumb, (other than soolee), and i don't really dislike anyone. So calm down, and drop the drama. Now as for my response..

.. You've never tried to put on a body kit and tried to line everything up, eh? If it's fiberglass (which i would hope it is), it is not going to be possible to just bolt everything on drive, with all of his body lines lining up. That is just a fact. Sure, he can just bolt it on a go, but it will be overlapping body panels, crooked body panels, ect. Like i said, it takes time to do it RIGHT.
If you've seen his cardomain site, he has some rust on there.. i figured it woulda hit it with some bondo and got the whole car painted, instead of just trying to match the kit to the rest of the body, which never looks right. If I was gonna spend 1800 on a body kit, i'd throw down another couple hundred and have some body work done and have the entire car painted.

Sorry physics major, you are right. Making the front bumper of the car twice as large, making the rear bumper drop down to the ground, and putting scoops in the hood would not affect aerodynamics. My bust. WTF was i thinking. :)

I'm glad to see that you have formed an opinion of me, and are giving me a hard time. Just don't keep it up. :) It's usually just James and siragan.. and sometimes sittinlo cuz sometimes he bothers me.. but generally i'm a fun guy and like giving car advice.. and my advice is "if you want a drag car, don't hurt aerodynamics and every other aspect of performance by installing a body kit". Now if he wants to put a body kit on his daily driver, which he won't be using has a 100% drag racer, more power to him. But i still don't think he should paint match it and just bolt it on without lining anything up.
And they lived happily ever after. :)

Yes...i have...its not freakin hard...go to a fuckin junkyard, get the damn plastic freakin mounts..then come home get some damn automotive epoxy, sand down the shit...line it up...glue the piss out of it, and rivet it if u want...turn around sand down the rivet spot to make it smooth..then turn around and bolt it on....like i said...not fuckin hard.

as for the gfx...it just depends...if he's gonna turn around and beef the engine..the i doubt its gonnna matter what the shit he puts on it because its gonna have more horses than he started with...

as he also said...SHOW AND GO...so i think he's doing just that..

glue the piss out of it
Hell yea! That's what i'm talkin' about.. that a real PROPER installation right there.. won't move, lasts a long time, durable..

I'm just letting james know that installing a body kit isn't as easy as the 1hour job you're making it out to be, BodyKitKing.

:) And of course his car is going to haul ass, but it would haul MORE ass and be cheaper if he left the body kit off..

D'OH! I mean, i'm dumb, you're right. Continue...

man i hate ur sarcasm...i never once said it was gonna be a 1 hour job...
and the glue thing...have you removed your stock bumper?? have u seen those plastic brackets on the insides of the bumper??? yeh lots of glue drip and they are set with automotive epoxy...shit dude, i'm just sayin from experience....i had a 94 ford tempo that i put a body kit on from an eclipse.. i mean it was kinda hard to put on because of measurements...but thats the only hard part to it...so just shut the hell up lil prick..
