it's front wheel drive suspension has a ton to do with it because mounting points
I must be really missing something, I seen tons zetec swaps into first gens and no one ever touches the suspension. The EXP tans mates to a zx2 zetec , you should not have to touch the suspension or drive train.

Most of the suspension should match an 88 escort gt

Does your EXP have the regular 1.9 engine or the HO 1.9?
If it has the plain engine, switching to the HO would provide a fair bit more power and since it was a stock option, could be done with all stock parts.

Only real hard part about that swap is the wiring. And it would net him about 20-30HP witch is more then what he would gain from a HO to stock ztec. A stock ztec swap is not worth the time if he has a HO. The HO is 115hp and the ztec is what? 120hp?

The Zetec is 130hp in stock form. With a tune and bolt-ons you can easily get 150hp.
