on my 95 wagon, the tail pie bends underneath the bumper to the side, and i was wondering if it is only the wagon that has it's exhaust set up like that? i would really like to have the pipe go straight out the back so i could maybe put a tip on it(i like the quiet ride, my mustang is the loud car). which cat back goes straight out the back that will fit the length of the wagon?

or would it be just easier to bend it straight myself, or have a muffler shop do it for cheap?

and another question, is the LX muffler and the GT muffler the same, like is the muffler more aggressive sounding? if it is, will the cat back from a GT fit my wagon?

i can only answer your first question with any certanty and the answer is no. i'm pretty sure that all wagons bend like that.
As for you other questions i'm kind of guessing. You should be able to use just about any escort cat (2door and 4door souldn't bend) and i doubt the GT has a different one. i do know that the ZX2 SR had a borla one but good luck finding one of those in the JY.

Your pipe goes out the side just to keep the back of the car cleaner. It's an aerodynamic thing with the exhaust gases rolling around back there.
Just buy an expansion pipe at the local parts store and put a longer pipe on it. You do own a hack saw, right?
Oh. And you'll have to wash the car more often. Or at least the back.
