you sign up for an account. then you add friends. you are then networked to other people through your friends. but in order to view peoples accounts you have to be networked to them. if you are not, then it won't let you view their profile plain and simple.

it's kind of cool to search for random people and then see how you are connected to that person. i am signed up and have 5 friends on it...i have 92,718 connections through them. it's sweet.

if you are already a member then add me as your friend with my email address.

btw, they don't spam your email or sell it to anyone. no problems so far.

My friends just started doing this friendster thing. It seems ok, as computer friendship services go.

I'm starting to get the feeling that there are a lot of parallel "talk to your friends online" things these days. I'm spread so thin in reality that it keeping up my virtual self alive is seriously starting to erode my "alone time."
