I have seen a few ebay ads with strangely high prices, maybe the seller is hoping someone will accidentally hit the wrong keys and buy it accidentally?

The car is said to have a 1.8 L engine, strangely. Also, when one looks at "See other items" only one thing comes up, some electronic gadget, but no car. How can that be?

After negotiations with the dealer I only paid $10,300 for my '97 LX wagon brand new, it's got only about half the mileage on it this one has. If theirs is worth $10,000. I wonder what mine is worth?

Joey, when clicking on the "other items" link in an eBay auction it only brings up other items and doesn't include the item where you clicked the link.

The car is in PA so it's probably a rust bucket unless it has sat in a garage all winter for the past 20 years.

I'm pretty sure I have looked at other sellers and all the items, including the original item, show up.

I've clicked on the other items link and the original item didn't show up. Maybe sometimes it does, but not in my experience. If you go to their profile page and click on items for sale all their items will show up.

Half the mileage doubles the price. So yours is worth $20,000. Obviously.

mine has double the mileage, so half the price. I would gladly take $5000 for either of mine!

This made me chuckle because up here in NY we see southern PA cars as having little to no rust :)

I occasionally see this kind of crazy high price listing on ebay, and wonder if it's some kind of ebay troll hoping someone will accidentally bid on the item and make the seller rich. I see he has no other items for sale.

I quit ePay altogether several years ago, but this was my thinking over the many years of seeing this also. Perhaps it's a form of money laundering, "paying under the table" or similar. Maybe such items are posted and/or purchased by hijacked accounts. Since the stock market is loaded with automated trading it's quite possible that ePay has it as well... in which case maybe someone has some hidden garbage on the page intent on exploiting the code behind one of those bots.

Many possibilities there.
