I was thinking about trying to buy these and was thinking if we did a group buy we could get them for a little cheaper. This is the link: http://www.sleepyvalley.com/escort.html

"The kit is $575.00 plus truck freight. Skirts alone are #22301/401 and sell for $270.00 a set plus shipping (UPS). Rear 2 pc set #´s 22101/201 runs $180.00 for the set plus shipping (UPS)."

I wrote them an email on 9 Apr 03 and they still make them. What do you guys think.

Argh. Why can´t bodykits look NICE for a change? What´s with the little triangle areas on the bumpers? Fake air intakes? It´s a shame that the people with the means to create this stuff choose to design outlandish and gaudy attachments. A bodykit should look integral to the body, enhancing the vehicle´s appearance. An effective bodykit isn´t noticeable, the car just looks awesome. In all of these photos, it´s simply a car with a bolt-on kit. That´s my opinion. Glad I own a GT and already have the side skirts.

Yeah. I wish I had a set from a GT. I keep lookgin but all the ones in the junk yards around here are all broke. I figured I could use a little fiberglass with the side skirts and smooth it out. We´ll see. But is anyone interested? I am just getting the side skirts not anything else.

i agree, the skirts are the only good things in that kit - the stock EGT front is so much nicer than that one, and the back, it´s barely any different, just a couple flap-thingies. but for the price i´d rather search the j-yards for some stock egt skirts

But yeah I´m gettin the onderground rear bumper and I´m thinking about doing a custom front bumper with a larger center opening and an extension lower to the ground. ;-)

You know what...screw it...I am just going to make a wide body side skirt like the new Euro Escorts. I got to thinking that I will be spending just as much time with trying to fix those Erebundi or whatever they are called making them look right. I will post my progress on the side skirts at my web page when I get started.

I made these rocker pannel side skirts for another car for about $50. They began life on a 1st gen Merc Sable. I had to shorten, reshape one end, (so the cap would fit on the rear end), and paint it, but it looks like it came with the car.
