Title says it all. lookin for one. Wanna try that bag of worms.
You will need to get part from Australia from a Ford Laser, same as the 2nd gen escort. I have heard all the mounting points are already there in the hatches, just need parts, drill a few holes, and wiring. I have never seen it done though.
I know someone on here has it, i cant remember who. but im pretty sure at least one person.
Thats why i was asking, see if anyone else had a spare just ya know, layin around.
I found a couple on AU Ebay but when contacted the sellers refuse to ship outta country...punks.
IIRC, Skuce had attempted it once. I believe he had sourced the parts. Your best bet is to befriend an Auzzie who would ship items over here. Regardless, it will be pricy. I have wanted Laser tail lights for years, very subtle in the difference.
i want so badly the rear hatch filler panel w/ bumper. i love their look so much better with the license plate down below.
Is there like a huge risk in an aussie sending "Automotive" stuff over here?
I've got a couple friends over there.
I don't for see an issue. Just customs and shipping charges.
Nothin special has to be done in customs or anything. im not familiar with customs as far as if there is any additional charges and stuff. i had a set of HID's seized in customs about 6 months back. and didnt know exactly why.
I have a few rear Escort GT wiper parts for the 1st gen cars ,,but need to look first and see what I can sale here .
,, I have a few parts ,,but I need to look first and see what I have to sale first ,,parts I have are for the 1st gen Escort GT's ,,, 1989-90 rear wiper setup .
finding a trustworthy Aussie is like finding an honest used car salesman. took me 5 years to source my parts.
Yeah i have a feeling thats what i'll run into thats why i havent gone to far. And Ricksgt, your 89/90 escort Wiper im sure is completely different then second gen.
Im dealing with a Second GEN GT.
modifying something from the states will be your best route.
