I have a 1995 escort gt auto, will not start. engine trying to turnover. replaced fuel pump, ignition coil, spark plugs. any thougts?
at some point I lost spark as well...not sure what could be wrong.
Crankshaft position sensor? Crankshaft position sensor wiring harness problem? Bad wiring harness at coil? EEC relay? Do you hear the fuel pump run for a couple seconds when the ignition is turned to the on position? If not, possibly the inertia switch has been tripped or a bad fuel pump relay.
I do have the original fuel pump & will reinstall, as I don't notice fuel pump activating when ignition is turned on.
Didn't check crankshaft sensor or wiring harness.
Thanks for your input.
This car was running fine untill it decided to not turn over & that back a few months now.

Faulty used fuel pump was the problem. installed new (used) one and it starts fine.
thanks for the input.
