Ok sometimes when i get in my car and don´t let it warm up, it kind of stumbles like the engine wants to stall, then when i jam the gas to the floor it just revs...it´ll only do it when the clutch is connected, but not when i have the clutch in and rev the engine itself.

Tonight i got in it and it ran fine from my drive way to the end of the street, until i turned the steering wheel, then it started doing it´s stumbling speel. I think it´s the damn accessories belt that´s doin it. When the car is wet, that thing will squeal like a pig gettin it´s feet ripped off. I´m taking it in to have that belt replaced this weekend hopefully.

But still let me know if you guys think of anything else.

I don´t have the engine stummble probelm but i got a big problemw ith my belts. I have replaced the accesories belt at least 5 times in the past 6 months or so. The last belt i bought was a really expensive good year no squeak belt and it worled for like 2 or 3 months but now it is squeaking like a bitch again. Anyone know what could be causeing this. I am at a total loss as to why it keeps doing this.

I think it´s just that the belt isn´t tightened down enough, and if it comes loose in 2 or 3 months then the tensioner needs to be replaced.
I need to change my oil and replace that belt, so i´m going to take it in sometime soon.

It sound like that one of your pulleys has precession. Eather it´s a axel bend or disbalanced pulley. So when you turn, break or gas, your engine angles and precession becomes visable. Belt starts to precess together with pulley and it start to squick against other balanced pulleys. Other thing could be bearing in tensioner pulley is bad. Or belt is loose.

so is there any way to fix the precession alex? the belt is tight I am sure of that cause I can;t move the damn thing. Maybe I should just let amechanic look at it and save my self the headach, but really what fun would that be, right?

1.8L GT engines have two accessories belts, I didn´t know that. just look at the engine and you´ll notice it, right off the bat. I called hires, 141 dollars to replace them both and the pulley. Hopefully that will take care of the squeaking.
