engine part torque info???

1056 Views 7 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  egtdude
Hey all. I´m new to the forum and I have a question...I´m building a motor for my 92 EGT and I can´t find the torque measurements for the main bearing caps and con rod bearing caps. My Chilton guide only has the info for the diesel engine (stupid book). Anyone here know the real deal?

Thanks in advance.

you would probably have better results if you asked this question in another area of the forum. Try engine tuning or something.
As much as mx3 boy annoys me, he´s right. but still it doesn´t matter since the post is here now. anyway, get a haynes manual, I´m positive the torque specs are in there. I know the torque specs on the bearings to hold the cams down. If i had my book here i´d look all that up for ya. but you´ll have to wait till I go home ;-)
am I really that annoying? lol. I don´t care who is there and who saw me destroy you. Go call you a lawyer, file you a lawsuit.

Isn´t that a line from an eminem song?
Nah I´m positive it´s a line off his newest cd. That´s copyright infringement, I´m gonna call Eminem and he´s gonna come with a bunch of thugs and beat you senseless ;-)
go get yourself a helms factory shop manual, 1000X better than those cheap ass chiltons etc.
