hey just wondering if anyone has had any experience with electronic superchargers. Some questions i have are: do they work? are they reliable? etc, etc. lemme know if these are any good and how hard would it be to make one? thanks guys (and ladies).

50 HP sounds very suspect. Someone show how this is better than those computer fans they hawk. :-?

also dont forget the simple physics of energy...

goal: to pressurize intake air to get more power

conventional turbo: MECHANICAL - gas spins a turbine through physical contact

electric turbo : ELECTRICAL - engine CONVERTS mechanical energy to ELECTRIC energy, then ELECTRIC energy is converted to MECHANICAL energy via a centrifugal turbo.

The more energy conversions, the less efficient the system.

I´d probably just drop in a GTX, but I do also encourage thinking outside the box. 50hp does sound a little optimistic though. As does 10-15hp for a new intake. and 20-25hp for a new cat-back... those numbers are all high.

LMAO...u get one of those and i will surely come destroy your car for you...those things will NEVER give 50hp....those things push about 1 to 2 psi. All it is is a bilge pump for like a jetski sort of application hooked to a variable motor...TOTALLY RICE...U´d be lucky to get like 5 horsepower...but if u did gain like 10..u´d have to sacrifise ur dignity for it.

lol.... hairdryer. yeah i think 50hp is way to much for those... its probally around 5-7 at 2psi or so. Id like to see some graphs on the site proving the 50hp....

hehe...i can make some graphs w/ crayons....I´ll even throw in some pie charts...Those things will double ur horsepower if u increase the throttle rotor specs. or if they play with the crank case tinkering shaft u could pull about 100 horses off a electronic SUPER MEGA POWER supercharger...LMAO

You´ll do nothing but lose HP with one of these. Please dont. Your alternator will suck all power right back out of your engine in order to spin the damn thing. They´re a hoax.

Now correct me if I´m wrong but don´t superchargers run off a pulley on the crankshaft which then turns a rod connected to a turbine which compresses the incoming air?
I guess I´m just trying to figure out how is THAT a ´supercharger´ then? it looks more like a turbocharger and the other ones look like hair dryers.
All it´ll end up doing is slowing down the air creating more problems than it´s worth. $299 bucks. oh wait but it´s only $5.98 per horsepower! I agree with you pballer, I´d like to see some graphs and maybe even a car on the dyno with and without that product. :-?
