After installing a new speaker, I started to smell electrical burning in the cabin, around a day after I noticed my head unit stopped working, I've since resoldered the wiring harness, not confident that will fix anything, but I can hope. My car does not play a tone when my lights are on with the door open, or when my key is in the ignition with the door open. The dome light has also stopped working, anything I should check, like fuses?

    Is it the factory stereo?

You can check the fuses and you'll probably find one blown - the interior fuse.
If you replace it it's probably going to blow again.

replaced the fuse, everything worked, the moment I plugged in the head unit, it stopped. Last time I use a boss audio head unit
