My 93 GT keeps blowing starters it killed its stock item about 3 months after i bought it. The used one i replaced it with died 3 months after that. I threw a rebuilt one in there and that died about 2 weeks ago. It was under warranty but they couldnt get one for 3 days so i put a used one in. The used one crapped out 2 days ago and had antifreeze in the starter gear housing, its the only one to have that tho. Anyway long story short what the hell is going on? All the starters have the same problem the gear seems to have come off the shaft and can be spun clockwise only. Is it electrical, the flywheel or is a seal leaking and causing it to short or something? Any help would be appreciated and sorry for the longass post.

I would deffinitely look into the liquid. You might be ahead to check your soleniod too.It sounds as if the starter gear may not be returning after you start the car.I had that happen to me and the car sounded as if the trans or something was goin out, till one day I was goin down the freeway and the gear finally released.I would look into the fly wheel if all else fails. Is there abnormal(ie.uneven) wear on the starter gear?
